I finally got around to purchasing Habibi after months of wanting to read it! I’m almost done with it and I can already say that the whole thing is an absolute masterpiece. The illustrations are so detailed that I probably spent more time admiring every single inch of each page instead of actually “reading” the story itself, which is heart-wrenchingly beautiful. Craig Thompson is an utter genius. I can’t believe someone could make a near-700 page book look so intricate from each meticulously drawn panel to the fluidity of the Arabic lettering featured in it. Definitely the most gorgeous graphic novel I’ve ever read.

Oh, hey, thanks! I’ll try to! Normally I compile mixes for special occasions like when friends ask me to or when I feel really emotional, and the process usually takes more than a few days, but rest assured that whatever mixes I come up with in the future will definitely be posted up ASAP.
